Skin Toxins and Cellulite

What Causes Cellulite?

Affected skin is congested skin – skin that has been bombarded by sun damage, toxins, dehydration, poor eating habits and poor circulation. When skin is congested, it is dull, dry, ashen, wrinkly, and has the appearance of orange peel – dimpled. We all know it by its true name: Cellulite. No one is immune to it, not even men, though due to body composition, women are much more vulnerable. Body size doesn’t matter; everyone is at risk to have cellulite.

Cellulite is alleged to be a special type of "fat gone wrong," a combination of fat, water, and toxins. With the passage of time, our bodies become less efficient in dealing with the removal of waste products and circulation also decreases. Both factors will contribute to the development of cellulite, the storage of toxins and congested skin. Though cellulite affects the thigh first, it also affects the bum, arms, and abdomen. You may have to squeeze those thighs to see the effect, but toxins are there lurking underneath the skin.

Toxic Skin Impacts Your Overall Health

Fat cells can accumulate numerous types of toxins. The body stores toxins in fatty tissue to protect the body from more severe damage if they were to be stored elsewhere or were more freely circulating. The bad news is that fat stored toxins still create substantial damage and contribute to the unhealthy appearance of your skin as well as cellulite. When toxins are accumulated at a much faster rate than the body can eliminate them, the body starts to suffer. Storing toxins creates restricted arteries that require extra nutrients to nourish the body, restricted veins that require extra nutrients to carry waste and toxins out of the body and restricted Lymph vessels that require extra nutrients to drain and process excess fluid and waste out of the body.

Major Sources of Skin Toxins:
  • Pollution
  • Pesticides
  • Drugs
  • Chemicals in our food and water supply
  • Household and personal care products
  • Stress and negative thoughts/emotions

Detoxifying Your Skin

So what do you do? Follow the Isis Essentials Skin Detoxification Ritual daily-- dry skin brushing to stimulate the skin and increase the blood flow to the surface, rinsing with cold water after each bath or shower to increase blood circulation and then applying an Isis Essentials Oil Blend with a massaging kneading technique focusing on your thighs, bum, abdomen and upper arms. Essential oils enter you bloodstream and continue to provide benefits to your entire system of organs and assist your lymphatic system to release the toxins and eliminate them. The human body's complex systems drain toxins and metabolic wastes through the skin, kidneys, lungs, liver and colon; it can become overloaded with chemicals to remove. Detoxing is a way to eliminate toxins from the body. Detoxing helps the organs to rest. And with the continued practice of increasing stimulation, circulation and massage, you nurture and cleanse your largest organ--your skin.
